Zels Tuition

I am a qualified primary school teacher (PGCE and QTS) with an Economics and Accounting degree, with over 8 years of experience tutoring in Maths, English and 11+ from ages 5 years to 12. I also tutor Year 7 Maths & English as some children find the transition from Year 6 to Year 7 difficult. My goal is to not only see an improvement in students' grades, but also, in their understanding of the subject and their attitude to expanding their knowledge. I aim to combine fun and education to effectively deliver the knowledge students need, and strive to work with students to ensure they reach their full potential. In order to achieve this, I will develop well- informed and engaging sessions; involving practice exam papers, covering specification points, and going over specific question students need help with. I find that my own passion for maths and english is reflected in my teaching, and subsequently onto my students, which allows them to engage. I have tutored a number of students and seen a marked increase in performance. I find it extremely rewarding to see the progress in my students, which drives me to provide the best learning experience possible for students and maximise their abilities. My wide range of teaching experiences, at different levels, has given me the skills required to tailor my teaching methods to match the learning level and individuals needs. This ensures excellent outcomes for students and a positive learning experience.
